Garnier Skin Naturals Soft Essentials 24hr Hydrating Day Cream Review

By Nikoleta Ljuljdjuraj - 4:54 PM

There are many products on the market that claim to be a cure for dry skin, many of them keep your skin hydrated for a couple of hours at the most and then you feel the dreaded flakes coming back. For foundation wearers especially, having dry skin can be a nightmare and buying products that do work tend to be really expensive. Not anymore!
Garnier have released a perfect moisturiser as part of their ‘Soft Essentials’ range which is specialised for dry skin. It’s affordable too! For the price, it’s worth it.
Nicely packaged, the cream comes in a neat white box with clear labelling and is presented in a pink plastic jar. It’s small and compact, so it’s easy for it to fit in your bag. The cream itself has a subtle rose smell, which when applied stays on your skin throughout the day. The texture is really smooth, light and almost watery. It’s easily absorbed and doesn’t make your skin oily, but instead makes it soft for hours on end.
It claims to moisturise for 24 hours, and with regular use your skin does start staying moisturised and drying out less but will more than likely need more than one application in 24 hours – especially after washing. A really positive side to this product is that a little goes a long way, so unlike most moisturisers you won’t need to buy it so often, as well as it being cheap, this should save you some money.

I wouldn’t recommend it for people who already have oily skin as it would probably make your skin oilier. A downside to the product for people who suffer with sensitive skin is that the fragrance of the product can sting your skin, but once it’s absorbed (which is really quick) it usually goes away and works well with no further irritation.

I think Garnier have succeeded in making a moisturiser for sensitive and dry skin, they’ve got the pricing right, the packaging and most importantly, it works!

Have you tried this day cream? Do you like Garnier products?
