The Tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette

Hope you are having a great day. Today I decided to do another review, but this time is an amazing and beautiful palette, that I wanted to try the first day when it came out. It is The Tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette.

The product quality is amazing. All the colors are highly pigmented, smooth and easy to apply; you don't need to pack much on. Some of the second column shades might apply a bit harder in the crease.

• Free Spirit is a yellow-based cream color. Great for highlighting the brow bone.

• Force of Nature is a very warm skin tone color. It reminds me a lot of MAC Soft Brown.

• Dreamer is a nice medium-dark neutral brown.

• Multi-tasker is similar to dreamer, however it a beautiful shade that you can use for your crease.

• Caregiver is a pink-toned white shade. Kind of like MAC’s Yogurt but even more pink.

• Natural Beauty is probably my 2nd favorite shade of this entire palette. It’s a beautiful mauve shade that would look fantastic in the crease.

• Best Friend is a slightly darker, plumier version of the previous shade. It reminds me a lot of MAC Blackberry.

• Bombshell is a deep blackened plum. This one reminds me of a smoother more pigmented version of MAC Shadowy Lady. Shadowy Lady might be a little more cool-toned than this one but who cares.

• Supermom is a great universal highlight shade. Comparable to a more pigmented version of MAC Brule.

• Wanderer is a nice sepia-toned brown. It reminds me of a more muted version of the very popular MAC Uninterrupted.

• Power Play is a gorgeous matte taupe. I am so happy they included this in the palette it will accompany so many looks so well.

• Fashionista Ok guys, I’m serious. This is probably the best black I own. This one is BY FAR the most pigmented shade of the entire palette. Also, it is VERY black. It is the blackest black I own, it still is.

The colours, as I stated, are everything I've ever dreamed of. Taupes and dusty mauves/purples are what looks best with my eye colour and there aren't many shades from this family on the market at all: the taupes are either too beige or too gray, the dusty purples simply don't exist.

The two bottom rows are exactly what I need and want and I couldn't be happier with it. The top row I don't use that often, I think it would be perfect to do neutral looks for those with deeper toned skin. I also almost never use the black shade.

I really, really love that it's matte, without even a hint of shimmer or sheen. I'm tired of every eye -shadow ever being shimmery. It can be made less harsh by mixing your eye primer with an eye cream before priming or using a really moisturizing creamy primer (mine is quite dry/drying), but keep in mind that if you have mature or mature-looking eyelids, this might make it worse. The packaging is fine. I'm always afraid to drop it because it's not so small and not so big but that's an irrational fear. It opens very easy and it is perfect for a travel size-

Overall, I'm in love. This is pretty much my go-to palette every time I do makeup. Definitely would repurchase, although by the time I run out they'll have stopped making it.

Rimmel Provocalips - Play With Fire Review

Hey my lovelies,

I hope you are having a great day. I wanted to do a full review of the Rimmel Provocalips/ Play With Fire, because I absolutely love this lipstick, it just amazing. Everyone who is struggling to find a lipstick long lasting this one is definitely this is the perfect one.

When Rimmel released their now famous 'Apocalips' lip lacquers, I was more than a little bit excited. After seeing all the hype surrounding them, I just couldn't resist buying a handful of them when they were released. With this being said, I was very excited to hear about Rimmel's latest lip offering 'Provocalips' - another range of liquid lipsticks that claim to be kiss proof, transfer proof and fool proof. Yep, big claims from Rimmel so I was excited to see if they lived up to them. Lets face it, who doesn't love a long lasting lip product? Its always a pain having to re-apply lipstick every time food and drink passes my lips so I was welcoming this transfer proof product with open arms.

As I mentioned, much like the Apocalips, Provocalips are a liquid lipstick that are applied directly to the lips with a doe foot applicator. However, unlike Apocalips, they're a double-ended product and as well as the liquid lipstick, they also come with a lock and shine topcoat to seal the colour and ensure it lasts all day. I have to be honest when I say I'm not blown away by the packaging as I do find the lip print slightly cheap looking but other than that, I really like the two step colour and seal concept as its different to any other lip products in my collection.

Play With Fire is a lovely dark red, but both of these shades need a little bit of layering to get an opaque finish.

The liquid itself is fairly running to apply and can get a little messy but with a steady hand, I managed to apply it without looking like a clown and was amazed at just how pigmented the colour is. A couple of minutes after application the liquid dries and begins to feel a little drying but that's to be expected with any kind of liquid / long-lasting formula so I didn't mind too much. However, one thing I would say is that it’s important to exfoliate the lips before using this product because if you don't, they will show up every dry patch. Thankfully, when the topcoat is applied, it gets rid of the dry feeling and also makes the lips slightly glossy, which I love.

My favorite of the three is definitely Play With Fire as its just perfect for this time of year and looks really striking.

My favorite thing about the Provocalips, other than their intense pigmentation, is definitely how long lasting they are. Seriously, when Rimmel said these are transfer proof, they weren't lying. When I first received them, I swatched them on the back of my arm and they just wouldn't budge - even after I scrubbed my arm in the shower. These are the only lip products I've ever used that have lasted all day or all night without the need for a touch up, even after eating and drinking. Amazing!

Overall, these are a fabulous product and I'd recommend giving them a try if you like a bold lip, but struggle to find lipsticks that are long lasting. Seriously worth a try!

Review L'Oreal Super Liner Gel Intenza

Happy Friday, this week has been a crazy week for me - I finally feel free, because I finished my first exams. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Despite considerable practice, and having blamed a multitude of not-quite-right brushes for my struggles, I decided that neither gel nor liquid liner was for me.

So on with the review for a long while now I've been trying and trying to perfect the winged liner look, and well I think half the battle is finding the perfect product, the over half has to do with being completely useless at winged liner (but hey if your products good you can't blame your tools, you all know the

I still don't feel like I have found 'the one' which will make me have perfect liner each and ever day! That was until I came across the L'Oreal Super Liner Gel Intenza.

First things first, the packaging, it's just so expensive looking, the clear glass pot with a gold screw on lid just makes it look like it has come straight from a high end counter, it also comes with a handy little brush which I must say is really good quality and is just great for using to apply the eyeliner! The liner itself is super pigmented and is as it says 'Intense!' one tiny dab of the brush into the pot gives so much product pay off, so yet again a little goes a long way! The creamy texture means it glides onto the eyes with ease and the brush makes it easy to shape the liner into whichever shape suits you. It claims to last 24 hours but like I've said on other products, which claim this. I'm never going to wear my make up for 24hours so this is one test I am not willing to try out, although it did lasts for such a long time, I had it on for a good 8 hours without any smudging or colour breakdown. Thats plenty good enough for me!

Overall, I am really impressed with the L'Oreal Super Liner Gel Intenza, I think it might actually be the one to help me perfect my winged liner look! So if your a winged liner struggler like me then I do recommend this little gel liner to help you on your journey, it's helping me! The ease in which it glides onto the eyes makes it so easy to learn how to get the winged liner look, plus it looks so luxurious for a drug store product.

February Favourites 2015!

1. Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

I’m a huge fan of Real Techniques Brushes. The Expert Face brush isn't as wide as the Buffing one, but as always, the bristles are super soft and feel amazing against the skin. It's more oval shaped that the circular Buffing brush, so it would also be good

for applying bronzer in the hollows of the cheeks.

I much prefer using this one for applying foundation. It gives a full, even coverage - I use it like a normal flat foundation brush, like I'm 'painting' on foundation instead of buffing in circular motions. It gives a more flawless, even finish and doesn't use as much product!

Overall, I really do like the Expert Face brush. It's great for applying foundation, but could also be used for other purposes, like contouring. I love the diversity of the Real Techniques brushes, because although they're named for a specific task, they are also multitasking brushes, which you can use for your face.

2. Rimmel Provocalips in "Play with Fire"

A gorgeous deep red and what's awesome about it? It's not transferable what so ever. This stuff stays on when you eat, drink, kiss, and what ever your little heart desires. The only thing that comes off is the lip balm of course. This stuff does not budge all day. I hate having to reapply my lipstick every few hours. With this lip colour, you just have to apply the colour once, and reapply the lip balm everytime you feel a bit dry. This is the formula that everyone needs to get on. I've never had a lip stain or liquid lipstick last this long or have so much difficulty removing. If you do need to remove it though, the best way to do it is with an oil based make-up remover. I'm telling you guys, this is one beauty trend that is up and coming, and it's one that my pockets are going to be crying about because I'm going to be broke.

3. Rimmel Stay Blushed 001 Pop Of Pink

“Perfect for any occasion: the blush blends instantly and seamlessly to create a long lasting, natural-looking flush of colour that lasts up to 24 hours. Ultra lightweight, won't feel heavy. Lasts all day. “

I have the colour 001 Pop Of Pink which is a really nice bright pink, however don't be scared off when I say that it's bright because when it blends into the skin it actually looks really natural! It's just like the name of the colour says, its just a pop of pink!

The consistency of this is a mousse-like texture and I think that that's what makes it looks really natural on the skin. It also has a bit of an iridescent glow to it, which is a bonus cause then you don't have to use highlighter! I love this product so much that I have included it into my everyday make-up routine and I wear it to school and it definitely lasts throughout the whole day; which for me is 7-9 hours. Overall, I obviously love this! It's easy to use so I would recommend this to beginners! This is also really travel friendly in the way that it is small and compact but it still has a lot of product in it, and trust me, a little goes a long way!

4. Urban Decay Eye Shadow In Verve

The newly reformulated eye shadows from Urban Decay feature soft velvety texture, decadent color, uniform pigment distribution and blendability, and long-lasting crease-free wear.

Verve — a pale shimmery off-white shadow with a frost finish. Verve is great for highlighting or adding that little sparkle in the center of your lids to finish off a flat look.

I love this eyeshadow. I use it nearly every day and for a casual look I just apply it over my lid, mainly in the inner corners and use a black eyeliner with mascara, and it brightens up my eyes! i also use it when I’m going out and either do a darker smokey eye with this in the inner corner, or use "gun metal" - a shimmery blue from the Naked Palette 1 along with this which is one of my favourite looks.

This shade is versatile and can go with anything and it lasts a while and goes on really nicely. I have nothing bad to say about it, except it is a little pricey as an indiviual shade.

5. Mac Studio Finish Concealer In NW20

I am in love with this concealer! Where have I been before and didn’t tried this one out. It's super thick and I can even say heavy. It gets better when you warm it up a little bit - becomes thinner and creamier when it warms up. Do not rub it, just gently pat it into the skin. It covers like no other, seriously. It's the only thing that can cover my zombie dark circles and make me look slightly more normal. I usually apply it first with the concealer brush and then blend it with my ring finger. It brightens up the under eye area. The consistency of this concealer is great, and it stays a long time into the skin.
